021Twenty

For days now I have pondered,
Countless spare hours devoured,
And now I have decided,
To continue what had started.
It’s a work of fiction,
Which I started weeks ago,
From an RPG session,
Born a name I couldn’t let go.
Here I’ll post a snippet,
Of the tale I had in mind,
A story titled “Twenty”,
Which I’ll gradually unwind:
“Twenty there were across the land,
Painting the soil with the blood of men,
Many there were that sought their end,
Only to meet their own death in hand.”
“Twenty there were across the land,
They fought each other to the end,
Nineteen bathe their hands with murder,
As they sought to kill each other.”
“Twenty there were across the land,
Whom in their tread left dread and death,
But One did rose to take a stand,
And fought evil with all her breath.”
“Twenty there were across the land,
Nineteen were killers of brutal fame,
But One will meet a tragic end,
For the name “Twenty” he shall claim.”
I’ll post more of this epic tale,
A short story every Sunday,
The First Chapter I shall unveil,
On the first Week’s end of May.
